The executive office

After the last post about the different types of offices that you can get in the game its been a whopping 68 %  vote in favor of office No3. The reason for this is that every body wants the executive looking office/job, with the bentley & of course a nice large house.

Office No2 came in second with a 25 % vote, at Fantsay HQ we think the reason for this was that all of the girls like it. That must be down to the fact that it fits there criteria.

We think that the girls are going to give the boys a good run for there money, proving that they can run a business as good as the boys or if not even better.

Office No3 got only 7 % of the overall votes and the reason must have been that it looked a bit of a shambles and no one in business would take you seriously because if that’s how you run your office would it be the same throughout the rest of your business.

I would love to take the opportunity to thank eveyone individually but that would take a lot of time. So a massive warm and heart felt thanks goes to everyone that responded to the post about the offices, the response was great and the comments that you have all made will be taken into account whilst development is still in process.

The Game is coming along nicely and we are getting so excited for its arrival. Next updates will be soon but for now its back to work.

And, who lives in an office like this?

Every business needs and office, even businesses run from home have a desk in a corner with a computer.  So for our Fantasy Couriers we have designed three different choices of office, for those playing our online business game.

There are three different types of office for you can choose from.

The 1st office is a bit of a dump with lots of broken bits and very untidy and dead plants in the corner, this is the office you can start a small business form without lots of costs until you can make some profits to get smoothing better.  It’s the typical small business owner’s office, for the person who is too busy running their business to worry about water the plants, or emptying the bin.

The 2nd office is very calm, this defiantly had some a girls influence in the way that it looks.  Perfect fung shui; Every thing is in it’s right place, and a place for everything, very soft colours perfectley co-ordinated, just every thing a girl needs in her office.

The 3rd office is screams out “I’m a serious business person”.  Executive Leather Chair, the best desks, phones, computers, water coolers, shagpile carpets, etc, etc, etc. This office belongs to the type of person that wants to drive a bentley car and live in a very large house, and who wants everyone to call them “Boss”.   But remember to keep this you have to making lot of profits and that means that you have lots of vans on the road, and a big warehouse with lots of employes.

Will you be meeting customers at your fantasy offices, will be agreeing prices and contracts?  Are you the kind of person who says “take me as I am”, and happy for your office to be functional, if not so pretty.  Or are you the kind of person who believes that first impressions count, and that it is important to have an office that tells your customers, suppliers and employees you are a serious contender, a real player in the business game.
And for the business women……  Do you believe that you can cut it in a male dominated industry, do you think that letting your femine side show will make you a stronger or weaker opponent?

Well, now you have premises to start your business strategy and game plan from.  You’re off to a flying start which ever offices you choose.

Fantasy Couriers is coming alive……

Proofs of the game artwork are starting to come in now.  It seems rather strange that we’ve been building an online game for so long, and despite the fact that we’ve all got these visions in our heads of what it’s looking like, there’s nothing to see or show anyone.
Anyway, we’ve got the skins in, and we’ve got a choice of skins, for the different types of people that will be playing the game.  And they’re great. 

So this week sees the workload increase 10fold.  We’ve got brochures to prepare, sponsors to meet, advertisers to get information off to.  And ontop of that we’ve got all of the normal stuff that you need to do to get a new business up and running.  And we’ve got props to source for the filming next weekend.  It’s quite a list – and I have the feeling that this is going to be the sunniest week of the summer holidays!!

Enough blogging – off to do some work.

Who wants to be in the Fantasy Couriers movies?

We will be starting the production of the Fantasy Couriers viral videos next week and we are looking for volunteers to star in it .

The videos are being filmed in and Manchester over next weekend so we will need some poeple to star in it. All storylines are of course completely top secret for the moment so unfortunately we can’t spill the beans. 

All I can say is be prepared to get wet (it is Manchester in July), if you have any previous stunt experience or experience of driving vans, that may very well be helpful.  But most of all we need some people who are just prepared to go for it and have a good laugh at the same time.

Right I must get back to the storyboards to see how many parts we can create for our home grown stars!!

You must be having a laugh!

Setting up a new online game is hard work, but somehow it’s not really felt like it today. 

Today I have been mostly watching video clips on youtube and Facebook!  There are some crackers out there, and one of the funniest I think has the be the Channelbee one with the little girl with burying thr goldfish.

But, i’m not just skiving, no, honestly, there is a real proper purpose for all this lazing about – it’s research!!  We’ve just got in the first drafts of the storyboards for the viral videos that we’re commissioning for www.fantasycouriers.com and I must admit they’re looking good.  One of them had me rolling around laughing, and that’s just from reading a couple of sentences on a page (I must have a very vivid imagination!!!)

Anyway, back to the coal face, well another big stint of watching videos!!  It’s hard work this, someone put the kettle on 🙂
